We provide instruction in structural firefighting to prepare the student to take the State of Connecticut firefighter I and firefighter II certification exams. These programs are in accordance with NFPA 1001. Based on the IFSTA lesson plan, each program contains approximately 180 hours of classroom and practical training. Lessons are reinforced with video presentations, written testing and embedded practical skills testing. The State of Connecticut as the authority having jurisdiction will administer the final written and practical certification exams.
